This series of glass panties was made at the end of my first year as an associate at the JamFactory. Achieving the various patterns and accessories relied on a number of different techniques such that each piece challenged me in several different ways. Underwear is traditionally imbued with a variety of meanings that range a great deal from person to person. So for me, though I see the series addressing a number of topics including sexuality, gender, fetish, health, politics, history, social norms and more, I appreciate that viewers will likely approach the work from differing perspectives. In fact, it matters not whether the viewer sees the work and finds a deeper meaning or just enjoys a laugh. So long as I have intrigued someone on any level, I have succeeded.
